Welcome to BELhospice
The first Centre for palliative care and
palliative medicine in Serbia |
|
BELhospice
is the first specialised charity organisation in
Serbia that provides palliative
care to cancer patients during the last
phases of their illness. The concept of
palliative care means providing the
best possible care in the given
circumstances to both patients and
their families thus improving their quality of
their lives.
Our Mission:
* To provide palliative care to
terminally ill patients in Serbia in
accordance to standards set by the World
health Organisation (WHO)
and European Council,
* To assist the process of
education of relevant professionals as
well as of
the general public,
* To promote the concept of palliative care
in Serbia and to encourage
the wider community to support our work.
|
6000 Belgrade citizens die
of cancer every year.
BELhospice is the only
hospice charity in Serbia
that cares for those ill
friends of yours, or your
neighbours, who most need
specialised care.
Let's
help them together!
LET'S OFFER DIGNITY TO THE
VERY END!

In Memoriam |

Dragan Vukotic
(1956-2010) |
Dear friends,
It is with greatest sorrow that we inform you that on July
10th 2010, BELhospice lost
one of its founders, great
friends and dear colleagues,
Mr. Dragan Vukotic, Clinical
Psychologist.
He passed away quietly, in his home, surrounded by his
family, according to the
principles that he believed
in.
Dragan was one of the key people who we can give credit for
establishing BELhospice 6
years ago. As a
psychologist, he was a part
of our expert team and a key
lecturer in our Palliative
Care School. |
|
His family will miss him the most. We, his friends from
BELhospice, with whom Dragan
shared the joy of working
with patients and spreading
the hospice/palliative care
principles alongside the
difficulties of working as a
charity, will miss him
dearly. We will always feel
the lack of his merry
spirit.
As a tribute to this good man and our friend, we have
produced this photo album to
share with all of you.

Seminar
"Event Management" |
Belgrade
5th-6th February 2009 |
|
Events and celebrations are
excellent ways of accessing
the public and publicizing
particular messages. Event
Management requires specific
expertise and skills in
order to accomplish a
successful event.
BELhospice, as a charity
financed through donations,
devote special attention to
good-planning and realistic
charity and fundraising
events and constantly look
for new ideas.
To ensure this, a seminar "Corporate
Gatherings and
Events Management",
organized by CIS, was an
ideal opportunity for our
fundraiser Predrag Simic, to
share experiences and learn
additional skills that are
necessary for his field of
work in events and
fundraising schemes.
CIS is an International
Centre for education and
consultancy with years of
experience in capacity
building, human resources
management, facilitation,
consultancy and
organisational services. |
