A Charitable Bowling Tournament was held
at the Kolosej Bowling Centre to mark
‘World Hospice and Palliative Care Day’
and support BELhospice’s services in
providing palliative care for terminally
ill cancer patients.
Companies like PharmaSwiss, Roche, Ball
Packaging, Schenker, GlaxoSmithKline and
Press each had participating bowling
teams. These companies recognise the
huge need for palliative care and
supported this tournament and the work
of BELhospice.
The Schenker team won the tournament
after a long and hard
 fought
match. Schenker’s
team bowled fantastically but the other
teams proved to be tough opponents as
well. The Best Player of the tournament
was Vladimir Basic from
GlaxoSmithKline’s team. The funds raised
by this tournament will be used to
provide desperately needed palliative
care for cancer patients in Belgrade.
Dr. Natasa Milicevic, director of
BELhospice, congratulated the winners
and expressed her gratitude to the
bowling teams, the Kolosej
Bowling Centre and Press Newspapers.
Together they helped cancer patients
receive better care. Dr. Milicevic
invited all the teams to come next year
and enjoy another bowling tournament to
benefit our patients.
