BELhospice project published as an example of a successful project in the newsletter Aid Matters

We are happy to announce that BELhospice project „Day Care Centre of the First Hospice in Serbia“ was recognized as a successful project in the newsletter Aid Matters published by the Ministry of European Integration.

This project was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia and Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and funded by EU.

We deeply thank to all our partners, supporters and donors for the great support and exceptional cooperation.

AIESEC awarded BELhospice Centre

BELhospice and AIESEC international organization have been collaborating since 2017 and together they encourage young people to make a positive impact on society and to be leaders in their environment, while engaging them in volunteer activities at the same time.

In the past two years, in cooperation with the AIESEC local office at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, we hosted students from Tunisia and Romania.

We will be very happy to continue this cooperation.

Congratulations to Aiesec Belgrade FON on their birthday and we thank them for being part of this celebration.

Visit to the Hospice in the Weald

BELhospice team representatives including doctor Miljana Damnjanovic, patient care manager Mijodrag Bogicevic and CEO Vera Madzgalj as well as Aleksandra Jelicic from Palliative care unit of Zvezdara Hospital visited Hospice in the Weald in United Kingdom and learned about new, fifth, Hospice Service – Cottage Hospice.

Traditional 9th BELhospice Charity Ball

On Saturday, 1st of December, BELhospice organized the 9th BELhospice Charity Ball “A Cruise with a Purpose” at Hyatt Regency Belgrade. With the support of representatives of diplomatic cord and corporate sector as well as numerous individuals, this event raised 74,000 EUR and these funds will be used for free of charge palliative care to cancer patients through 1.000 home visits as well as for the Day care services which will be provided in the first hospice centre in Serbia.

13th BELhospice volunteers training is finished

From the 12th to the 15th of November, in the premises of the BELhospice Center, 13th training course was held for the new BELhospice volunteers which was successfully completed by 17 candidates. This is the second training within the project “Day Care Centre of the first Hospice in Serbia”.

In the marvelous ambience of PLATO restaurant, a donor’s evening for BELhospice was held with the support of the painter Tamara Kusovac. Part of the income from the sales of all paintings is paid to the BELhospice Centre.
