BELhospice 5-a-side football and basket tournaments 2018

On Sunday, 26th of May, BELhospice held the jubilee 10th 5-a-side football tournament and 1st humanitarian tournament in basket in SC Kovilovo where 13,000 € was raised for the work of the BELhospice Center to provide free palliative care to cancer patients and their family members.

Competitors for the this year’s BELhospice football and basket trophies were the companies: Bambi, Nordeus, Apatinska pivara, Muehlbauer Technologies, Bel Medic, Saga, Crédit Agricole, SberBank, Telenor, ManPower, Roche and Knjaz Miloš.

BELhospice director Vera Madzgalj visited Hospices of Hope in UK

BELhospice Director Vera Madžgalj visited the charity organisation Hospices of Hope in UK and on that occasion participated in a gala dinner where, among other, the funds for works on the first hospice in Serbia were collected.

Millennium Gloucester Hotel gathered a large number of donors and over 33,500 pounds was raised.

Hospices of Hope is our long-standing partner without whom we could not reach many goals.

World Social Work Day

World Social Work Day is on 19th of March and the whole month is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of social work in various fields of social and humanitarian activities. Social workers are very important members of multidisciplinary teams in hospice care. On this opportunity, we want to attract attention to the importance of the profession of social work in palliative care and to present our social workers Mijodrag Bogićević and Katarina Sivčević.

9th Charity Bowling Tournament

Like every year, traditionally on the Women’s Day, BELhospice Charity Bowling Tournament gathered 19 socially responsible companies that supported the work of the BELhospice Center on the palliative care of cancer patients.

On this occasion, we raised 10,000 €  which will be used for 200 free of charge home visits by the BELhospice multidisciplinary team to cancer patients and their family members.

We thank to all our donors for the support as well as  our volunteers who have been with the BELhospice team and helped us to organize this event.
