BELhospice centre and project team are looking for person for the following position

PR and Communications Officer

The person will be engaged under a Service Contract as PR and Communications Officer on the project “Emergency response to COVID 19 crisis” to protect the most vulnerable group, cancer patients and their family members, funded by the Group 484 and the Royal Norwegian Embassy for the period from 1 May to 31 August 2020.

Key components of the project include:

  • Psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families during coronavirus crisis in duration of 4 months
  • Distribution of protection materials
  • Enabling of the devices of life of cancer patients at their homes as Antidecubital mattresses

The incumbent will be engaged 50% of the working time, that is 2.5 days per week and will duly fill in time sheets and provide timely reports to the Project Manager.

The incumbent will communicate with the project team members and beneficiaries of the program, create success stories of implemented activities, and secure promotion in the local and national printed media, TV, and radio stations.

Qualifications

  • Political Science-Journalism
  • Social science or Languages

Experience

  • At least 3 years working in similar positions
  • Experience in working/writing about vulnerable groups

Skills

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
